Editing the next oscar

Image
We started the day by longing into our editing platform. Then we reviewed what we had on our video. Next we discussed what was wrong and what needed a change. Then we split up our tasks individually so we were working fairly. We realized the video was way to long. Plus the transitions were not smooth and the sound didn't flow well. Me and Ayden work deliberately on editing the clips down. We had to shorten many clips for it to work unfortunately. We even had to cut some clips out. Then we made sure there were good transitions. We needed the clips to go from one to another evenly and smoothly. This is because our film needs to be professional and to our best effort. The next major part we needed to work on was the sound. It was quiet throughout many clips so it didn't sound right. Were added certain sounds over the clips to make it a less awkward. Next we had to figure out how to add all these sounds and add a voiceover. The voiceover was Ayden explaining how ABC mouse works a...

Toutching up on our film

Image
Once again we chatted with our group mates. We decided who was going to have to do what. We made sure everyone got something to do. This is so one would have to do everything. Also, it was to make sure there wasn't just one person doing nothing. We started with the editing. Matthew Seyoum are good friend highlighted that this was the piece of the film that needed the most work. The transitions were choppy and slow. We struggled with the transitions because we became stuck. We had no clue how to fix it. So I did some research and came to the solution of speed and timing. I was able to figure that out because of youtube videos. We speed up and timed the clips perfectly to get them looking perfect. Next, we started to work on the sounds of the film. The sound was a big problem the music particularly we needed to pick different music because of difficulty. But this was a problem that would require lots of attention. So we got to looking for different music over the next couple of days...

last 3 minutes/drama

Image
The film I chose to research was the last 3 minutes. This short film takes you through a tear-jerking flashback of a man's dying life. The short film the previous 3 minutes differs from our drama because in the last 3 minutes it displays a life drama meanwhile in our movie we display a sports drama. A Typical life drama would often be slower paced meanwhile our sports drama would most likely be a little bit faster.  sound can be used to assist in the creation of tension, mood, tone, and changes in rhythm. This short included little to no dialogue about his entire life showing his life early on and how he has progressively aged showing his adventures along the way, instead the dialogue is displayed through the characters' body language and emotions. This sound from within the film is both diegetic and nondiegetic, the diegetic coming from the different events such as the army or the new baby or the beach, and the non-diegetic coming from the background music trying to create ...
