  • How do your products represent social groups or issues? Our video portrays a large issue connected to sports. The issue of how injuries in sports can cause mental illnesses. A serious injury or chronic illness can cause mental health problems including depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder. Our film displays a scenario where a top-tier athlete deals with a sufficient injury and deals with issues that come from it. As it was shown at the start of the film the athlete is extremely happy at the peak of his career and couldn't be more excited about making it to the playoffs. As the film proceeds and he is injured during training his feelings are turned. He now goes through the post-depression on how he let his team and city down. He feels everyone is against him and he doesn't want to be recognized on the streets. The athlete's entire self-confidence has vanished and he now goes on a spiral down with the next scenes showing him sitting around watching his

Facing problems

Image
weren't expecting this problem but it's one we have to deal with. The music we choose for our video isn't working out. We wanted to go with separate ways by the journey. It would've been the perfect song for our film. It fits all the scenes we are including sad, happy, inspiring, etc. The problem is we have to email them to get their permission. The problem is that we emailed them and got no response back. This is a big issue because that means we can no longer use the song in any way at all. This is because it will be copywritten and we could even get sued. We didn't want any of those problems so we just decided to ditch the song as a whole. It really sucks but its just what we have to do. So now were searching for new music. if comes down worst case will have to go royalty-free. But royalty-free is supper boring and we wanted to make our film top notch. Well, research different songs anyways. we researched the same genres as before. Classic rock, rap, blue

final editing

Another piece of the overall project that we had to work on was the title design. The title design is one of the most important parts because it hooks the reader in. So we made sure to spend a lot of time and perfect it. We had our title chosen from the planning and everything. But one big problem is we were contradicting ourselves if it was good or not. We kept discussing if the title was still good. After a lot of discussion, we still couldn't come to a simple verdict. So what we did was we talked over with our group and decided on a vote. It was either we change it or keep it the same. We decided to just keep it the same. Then we split up into different things to work on. I started on implementing the title. I had to work on the transition and the colors of the words. I had to make sure the timing was right and it couldn't be to long or to short. Then i had to make sure the word color fit with the theme of the film. After I started to work on introducing the acto

filming review

I gathered my group together so we could discuss something important. We discussed how we were going to know if the film was filmed to perfection. We discussed who would be the best person to analyze our film. After discussing the overall verdict was Matthew Seyoum. He has a lot of experience in the filming and editing department. He works professionally editing youtubes videos mostly being gaming videos but he also does a lot short films. It was very difficult to send it as it took up a ton of storage. My computer couldn't handle the huge file and it crashed. Finally after multiple try's it worked and I was able to send it to him. He reviewed it carefully and made sure to right down notes of the pros and cons. He was very CRITICAL about our film and said there is a lot to do. He mainly focused on the editing portion of the film. He said the transitions must be cleaner and sharper. This way we can professional film. He disliked the sounds we used a lot as well. He s

Toutching up on our film

Once again we chatted with our group mates. We decided who was going to have to do what. We made sure everyone got something to do. This is so one would have to do everything. Also, it was to make sure there wasn't just one person doing nothing. We started with the editing. Matthew Seyoum are good friend highlighted that this was the piece of the film that needed the most work. The transitions were choppy and slow. We struggled with the transitions because we became stuck. We had no clue how to fix it. So I did some research and came to the solution of speed and timing. I was able to figure that out because of youtube videos. We speed up and timed the clips perfectly to get them looking perfect. Next, we started to work on the sounds of the film. The sound was a big problem the music particularly we needed to pick different music because of difficulty. But this was a problem that would require lots of attention. So we got to looking for different music over the next couple of days
