Genre Research- Horror

 


For the 1st genre research, we decided to look into the genre of horror. 

Common Horror CAMS:

  • Flash pan
  • Tilted angle
  • Establishing shot
  • Tracking shot
Common Horror CLAMPS:

  • Ambient sound. Ambient sound is often used to create suspense. 
  • Score. An off-beat, creepy score is often used to create fear. 
  • Voiceover. Voiceovers are most commonly used to establish what is happening within the story.
Common Horror Costumes: 

  • Red cloth.
  • Ragged clothes. 
  • Men commonly wear jeans. For example, Jason Voorhees, and Freddy Kruger. 
  • Women commonly wear skirts. For example, Carrie White, and Annie Wilkes. 
Examples of Horror Films: 

  • There's Someone Inside Your House
  • Blood Red Sky
  • Army of the Dead
  • Nightbooks

THE GANG

            My groupmates are sydni Lavalle-Stablien Ayden marshal and Denton Greenleaf. I have developed an extremely strong relationship with sydni over the school year. we find each other very funny and enjoy talking to each other. This will help on the project because we will be able to work together and pair easily with each other I met Ayden through soccer I used to play soccer with his brother Luke and we met at the after-game dinners or tournaments. I met Denton just recently through a little basketball league we played in a holiday park. We choose each other because we will easily match up and work great together. This is because we all like similar things and activities. Ayden is extremely talented at drawing and will be superb at storyboard easing us through the process of making this extraordinary music video. Props:  Props wise, for our music video to Kid Cudis pursuit of happiness the main prop we will use will be a car. We may After discussing our music video idea, we will not need many props, we will mainly be utilizing our surroundings in our locations. For one of the scenes, we decided we will film at the beach for this we would include a towel. Another scene will be filmed in a house for these scenes we will be using props such as a couch.    Costumes: In our music video, there will be two main actors. For the scenes shot in the locations such as the car and house, they will have on casual clothing.
