Editing the next oscar

  We started the day by longing into our editing platform. Then we reviewed what we had on our video. Next we discussed what was wrong and what needed a change. Then we split up our tasks individually so we were working fairly. We realized the video was way to long. Plus the transitions were not smooth and the sound didn't flow well. Me and Ayden work deliberately on editing the clips down. We had to shorten many clips for it to work unfortunately. We even had to cut some clips out. Then we made sure there were good transitions. We needed the clips to go from one to another evenly and smoothly. This is because our film needs to be professional and to our best effort. The next major part we needed to work on was the sound. It was quiet throughout many clips so it didn't sound right. Were added certain sounds over the clips to make it a less awkward. Toutching up on our film

 Once again we chatted with our group mates. We decided who was going to have to do what. We made sure everyone got something to do. This is so one would have to do everything. Also, it was to make sure there wasn't just one person doing nothing. We started with the editing. Matthew Seyoum are good friend highlighted that this was the piece of the film that needed the most work. The transitions were choppy and slow. We struggled with the transitions because we became stuck. We had no clue how to fix it. So I did some research and came to the solution of speed and timing. I was able to figure that out because of youtube videos. We speed up and timed the clips perfectly to get them looking perfect. Next, we started to work on the sounds of the film. The sound was a big problem the music particularly we needed to pick different music because of difficulty. But this was a problem that would require lots of attention. Genre Decision

  My group decided to choose the drama genre. The genre looks extremely interesting to film with and i am supper excited to work on it with  my group. We wanted to be original and try out a different genre this year since we have already tried the thriller. Since we have an extended amount of time for the film it makes it easier to choose the drama genre so we can add all the details. We chose the genre because it fits in with many of the shooting locations we have already decided on. This also helps us with the editing and music as well. Through drama we can really highlight the acting in the film so out number 1 goal is to perfect our acting in the film. We do want to focus on avoiding mistakes that are common in the drama genre. We want to focus on avoiding acting that is overdone and corny. We do need to tweak certain things on our pitch but we must go over that with our group before we can make those changes.
